Peterborough Pollinators:
Carlotta James & Megan Boyles are co-founders of Peterborough Pollinators, a community-led grassroots organization dedicated to meeting the challenge of declining pollinator populations. Peterborough Pollinators provides education about the importance of pollinator gardens, how to build them, and how to get involved with Peterborough's blossoming pollinator movement. DBIA Vibrancy Project: The Downtown Vibrancy Project is a partnership between the DBIA and GreenUP to create connective areas of green space in downtown Peterborough. Three Sisters, alongside many local business owners, has participated in creating a more vibrant and sustainable downtown through large-scale garden building projects. Some of our projects include the largest Depave Paradise project in Canada, adjacent to downtown Peterborough, connecting to and expanding Millennium Park. Peterborough Kawarthas Economic Development: In 2018, Three Sisters was one of the grant recipients of the Starter Company Plus Program offered through Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development. Sustainable Peterborough: Since 2016, Three Sisters has been a member of Sustainable Peterborough, which sets goals and actions for balancing environmental, socio-cultural, and economic pillars of sustainability. |
